Koh Kaew: an area for family life

Koh Kaew lies in the middle of the east coast, between Phuket Town and the northern districts. How to buy a villa in Koh Kaew

Villas are usually held on a 30-year leasehold: a foreigner cannot own the land, and renewals are a term of the contract, not a legal guarantee. The house itself can be registered in your name separately from the land. On registration you pay a 2% transfer fee plus either 3.3% specific business tax or 0.5% stamp duty; the contract states who pays what.

Before you reserve, we request the building permits, the draft land lease and the payment schedule from the developer and go through them with you.
